Crispy Cigars with Shrimp and Garlic are exactly that kind of appetizer — elegant, simple, and packed with vibrant Mediterranean-inspired taste. The magic of this recipe lies in its balance. Delicate brick pastry bakes or fries into a thin, shattering crispness that gives way to a warm, juicy filling of shrimp sautéed with garlic, herbs, and spices. The shrimp brings a natural sweetness, the garlic adds depth and fragrance, and the splash of lemon brightens everything with fresh acidity. Combined with the subtle heat of paprika and the freshness of parsley and chives, the filling becomes a beautifully seasoned mixture that shines without overpowering the palate.
These shrimp cigars also stand out for how versatile and effortless they are. They require only a handful of ingredients
and a few minutes of preparation, yet the result looks impressive enough for entertaining guests. You can bake them for a lighter, healthier version or fry them for an extra-crisp, indulgent touch. Either way, they emerge golden, crunchy, and beautifully aromatic — the kind of snack that disappears within minutes of hitting the table.
